The level of competition for the 23 Wild roster spots will be at a high caliber. In addition to a solid gathering of new recruits, a large number of Wild veterans are returning for camp. Returning players will include forwards Ean Somoza, Cade Littler, Owen Bohn, Parker Murray, Ben Ivey, Jack Ivey, Landon Parker, Hudson Blue, Garrett Szydlowski, and Anthony Cafarelli. Defensemen Mario Gasparini, Connor Overson, Travis Bohnet, Brodrick Williams, and David Hejduk will also be joined by goaltender Andy Vlaha.
Seven of the top ten scorers from the 2021-22 team are reporting to camp, while the other three have gone on to play NCAA Division I college hockey.
Wild Head Coach and Assistant GM Chris Clark is excited to get started on the new season for a number of reasons. In addition to the influx of talented players, the Wild organization has taken great steps to enhancing the overall game night experience for the fans, making the Wolves Den an even more difficult place for opposing teams.
“Our staff can’t wait to get going on September 2nd”, Clark said. “We are really excited about the kids we have returning as well as the guys we will be adding to the group. We look forward to seeing the Wild faithful on September 9th for the first preseason game.”
