The Wenatchee Wild, proud members of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) announce the return of forward Sam Morton to the organization.
Morton, a 20-year old forward, played for the Wild in the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons. He played the last season and a half at Union College and is expected to return to Wenatchee in early December. He plans to transfer to another NCAA school for the 2020-21 season.
Wild Head Coach / GM Bliss Littler remarked, “Sammy was a huge part of our Fred Page and Doyle Cup Championships. We look forward to being able to help him continue in his development.”
Morton adds, “I really enjoyed my time in Wenatchee, and I think it was a big step for my development. I’m excited to head back and work on my game.”
The Wild (14-11-4) are in the midst of a four game homestand that continues Friday against Nanaimo (19-7-2) and Saturday against Langley (12-14-1). Both games will air locally on NewsRadio 560 KPQ with video streaming available through HockeyTV. Wenatchee has won three of their last four games including a 2-1 win at home over Prince George on Monday night.
