The Wenatchee Wild, proud members of the BCHL, have announced their team captain for the 2017-18 season will be returning forward AJ Vanderbeck. The announcement came during an exclusive dinner for Season Ticket Members on Thursday night at Town Toyota Center.

Vanderbeck, from Monument, CO, is back for his second season with Wenatchee and fourth year of junior hockey. He played for the Lone Star Brahmas (NAHL) in 2014-15 and the Sioux Falls Musketeers (USHL) in 2015-16 before joining the Wild last season where he exploded for 39 goals and 66 points.

“AJ is the kind of teammate that players naturally gravitate to, and that makes him a natural leader”, said Head Coach / GM Bliss Littler. “We’re excited to watch as he continues to develop in that role.”

The Wild begin their regular season on the road at Merritt on Saturday, September 9. Wenatchee’s home opener is September 16 against the Vernon Vipers.

Season ticket packages are on sale now at the Wild office by calling 509-888-7825. Single game tickets and group packages are available now. The organization plans select fan bus trips this season and information is available on the team website.
