The Wenatchee Wild, proud members of the British Columbia Hockey League, are pleased to announce goaltender Devin Cooley has committed to Denver University beginning in the fall of 2017.

Cooley came to Wenatchee in a trade with the Springfield Jr. Blues of the NAHL midseason last year. He appeared in 14 games for the Wild, posting a record of 7-3-0 with a 2.45 GAA and .887 save percentage. He set (at the time) a franchise record when he strung together a shutout streak of 180:43 in January. (That record was surpassed by Anthony Yamnitsky two weeks later.)

Cooley is now the sixteenth Wild player from the 2016-17 roster to hold a Division I college commitment, following Alex Bates (Sacred Heart), Brian Williams (Colorado College), Tyler Rockwell (Michigan Tech), Logan Milliken (Holy Cross), Troy Conzo (Colorado College), Slava Demin (Denver), Dakota Raabe (Michigan), Charlie Combs (Bemidji State), Colin Burston (Brown), Matt Baker (Dartmouth), Brendan Harris (Bemidji State), Jacob Modry (Rensselaer Polytechnic), Jimmy O’Brien (Colorado College), Chad Sasaki (Colorado College), and Garrett Nieto (Lake Superior State).

Season ticket packages are on sale now at the Wild office by calling 509-888-7825. Single game tickets and group packages will be available later this summer. Plans are also underway for multiple fan bus trips this season and will be announced soon.
