The Wenatchee Wild, proud members of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL), will be hosting their summer camp in Wenatchee’s Community Rink from Sunday June 18 through Tuesday June 20. The camp sessions are open to the public and free to attend. The full schedule is posted on the team website.

The Wenatchee Wild are coming off their most successful regular season in team history, claiming the Mainland Division Regular Season Championship as well as earning the Ron Boileau Memorial Trophy for the best regular season record in the BCHL. 15 players from last year’s roster earned Division I college commitments, leaving plenty of holes to fill as the Wild coaching staff works to assemble a new roster for the new year.

Last year’s Wild players who are expected to return will participate in the camp, along with players who have been acquired by the franchise this offseason and others who hope to earn their way onto the Wenatchee roster. The Wild and other BCHL teams will be allowed to roster 23 players this season, up from 22 allowed last season.

The camp will begin with small area games on Sunday June 18. These drills are designed to maximize competition and give players the opportunity to demonstrate their compete level in close quarters. Later Sunday evening, a pair of scrimmages will showcase normal, wide-open game play. Monday morning, there will be another pair of scrimmages, after which the coaches will identify participants for the All-Star games which will make up the remainder of the camp, concluding Tuesday morning with one final All-Star Game at 9:00 am.

Players will report for Main Camp to begin the season on Monday August 21. Exhibition games and the BCHL League Schedule will be completed and released in coming weeks.
