The Wenatchee Wild surrendered an early lead and Chilliwack capitalized, posting a 4-1 win on Saturday night to take a two games to none series lead in the BCHL Mainland Division Finals. The series heads up to Prospera Centre in Chilliwack, BC, Canada for Game 3 on Tuesday.

The Wild came out with good energy and speed and were able to get the first goal of the game as Slava Demin wired a shot from the blue line at 7:56 after picking off a Chiefs zone clearing attempt and Wenatchee held the 1-0 lead at the end of the first. The lead was intact late in the second period until a Wild clearing pass was picked off and Ben Fanjoy snapped a low shot on the blocker side to tie the game with 5:00 left in the middle frame. In the final minute of the second period, Will Calverly tucked home a shot on the doorstep on a nice feed from Linden Hora below the goal line, and the Chiefs led 2-1 after 2. Jake Smith finished off a frenetic scramble around the Wild net with a goal at the 12:00 minute mark, and Linden Hora added an empty netter with 2:08 to play to cement the 4-1 win and move the Chiefs to a 2-0 series lead. Anthony Yamnitsky stopped 22 shots.

Wenatchee and Chilliwack meet again for Games 3, 4, and 5 if necessary at Prospera Centre in Chilliwack beginning Tuesday.
